Colombian singer Karol G released her 4th and 5th studio albums titled "MAÑANA SERA BONITO" and "MAÑANA SERA BONITO (BICHOTA SEASON)" all within the same year. Collaborations were on both albums however, fans were most particularly excited for her song "ME TENGO QUE IR" with Kali Uchis, which translates to "I GOTTA GO" in English. This dreamy pop track features relaxed and airy production from cowriter and producer Sky Rompiendo. In comparison to her other tracks, "ME QUE TENGO IR" isn't as big production and vocal-wise. It acts as a buffer in her project. Featuring clean and soothing vocals from both singers, the song is completed well in all aspects. The complete song is a nice relaxing break from whatever one could be thinking about with peaceful ethereal sound effects throughout the track.

Lyrically, this song is about not being connected to a lover and knowing when to check out of a relationship. Both Karol and Kali sing about how this has been a long time coming and that separating is the best choice. The lyrics circle around looking forward in life and not necessarily leaving with any bad blood. The main points seem to be moving on for the sake of the mind, body, and soul.
This track was a tranquil and soothing collection of work from both Colombian singers. They teamed up under Karol's division of Interscope Records, "Bichota Records" to distribute this track to the world. In a recent interview, Karol teased another possible collaboration with Kali. I guess we will have to wait and see what they have in store for us.
